Marriage is indeed sacred, and God hates divorce. I don’t know where the concept of selling one’s soul to the devil first came about (Faust I guess). But I don’t see anywhere in the bible, but it has always been an interesting plot device.

Thank you for this post, it is also interesting in that most people don’t think about would have beens could have beens in their daily thought or decision making process; seems to always be hindsight not forethought.
